Committees

The Kehillat Haela chessed committee supports the kehilla during times of simcha (childbirth) or l’havdil during challenging times (illness or shiva) by coordinating meals for families. We also provide assistance to the new olim of our neighborhood. For further information, to volunteer or for assistance please contact Shira Platnick or Chaya Rosenthal.

The Welcoming Committee has the privilege of welcoming new members of Kehilat Haelah as well as new families who moved into the larger Neighborhood. We assemble a Shabbat themed welcoming package and deliver them to the new families. We are interested in expanding to work on other ways for the members to meet including perhaps events and meals. לועדת קבלת פנים יש את הזכות להכיר ולקבל חברי קהילה חדשים ומשפחות חדשות שעברו לשכונה.  אנחנו מכינים חבילה לשבת ושולחים למשפחות החדשות.  אנחנו מעוניינים להרחיב את עבודתינו לאפשר לחברים חדשים להכיר אנשים בקהילה על ידי אירועים וארוחות.
